At eduPad we are here to support as you begin to use our apps.
Is iTooch giving you trouble? You can provide feedback using the in-app feedback feature (activated in the app’s settings) or through our contact form.
It may take some time for our developers to find a way to reproduce the bug, develop a fix and publish an update (all updates go through an Apple approval process).
General Troubleshooting
Kill and restart an app
- Press the “Home” button
- Double tap the Home button to bring up the Multitasking bar
- Press and hold anywhere on the multitasking bar until the icons on it start to wiggle.
- While they are wiggling, each icon has a Minus sign symbol above it.
- Press the Minus symbol above any app to close it down. It will not delete the app.
Delete and reinstall an app
- Press the “Home” button
- Touch and hold the app you would like to remove until its icon starts to wiggle
- While it is wiggling, a delete symbol should appear above it
- Press the symbol to delete the app. You may be asked to rate the app
- Click the “Home” button to cancel or stop deleting apps
Once your app has been uninstalled, you can reinstall it for free:
- Open the App Store
- Search for the app you would like to reinstall
- Hit the download button. If prompted, enter your iTunes Store account information
Reboot your device
- Press and hold the “Sleep/Wake” button located on the upper right hand corner of your device
- After a few seconds, the message “slide to power off” should appear
- Slide the slider to shut down your device
- Press and hold the “Sleep/Wake” button until the Apple logo appears
Check your app version
- Press the “Home” button
- Open the general “Settings” app
- On the left column, scroll down and click on your app
- On the right column, in the “About” section, you should find your version number
Title/In-App Purchase Management
Delete and reinstall a title
- Launch your iTooch app
- Go to your library by clicking on the orange “Plus” button, located in the bottom left corner
- Swipe on the title you would like to remove (from left to right or from right to left)
- A “Delete” button should appear on the right
- Hit the button!
To re-install this title:
- In the “X titles available for download” section, press the refresh button
- The title you have previously deleted should be listed
- Hit the “Download” button

Restore previous purchases
- Apps: Go to the App Store and look for your app. A “Download” button should be available.
- Titles: Go to the Library (“Plus” button), scroll down and hit the “Restore” button
I cannot download any titles
If the problem persists, our IT infrastructure may be over-loaded. As a result, you may have trouble downloading anything from our servers. If you are affected, here is a survival kit:
- Make sure you have downloaded the last version of our apps
- Kill your app and relaunch it properly
- Reboot your device
- Download one title at a time, avoid multiple and simultaneous downloads
- If it still does not work, try to download your title later in the day
“This device does not support payment”
- Press the “Home” button
- Open the “Settings” app
- On the left column, click on “General”
- On the right column, scroll down to “Restrictions”
- In “Allowed Content”, make sure you have activated “In-App Purchases”
If you still encounter the problem, try successively one of these solutions:
- Reboot your device (see the tutorial in the General Troubleshooting section of this FAQ)
- Delete and reinstall your app (see the tutorial in the General Troubleshooting section of this FAQ)
- Delete and reinstall a title (see the previous questions of this section)
App Management
Reset your data
- Launch your iTooch app
- Click the orange “Settings” button (wheel symbol), located in the bottom left corner
- Click on “Reset app”
- Close and restart your app properly.

Sounds and Media files
Sounds are not working. What can I do?
- Double tap the “Home” button
- Swipe from left to right
- Tap the speaker icon to the far left
- The message “Mute Off” should appear below the play button
- Go back to your app and see if it works
Solution #2
- Press the “Home” button
- Open the general “Settings” app
- On the left column, click on “Sounds”
- Make sure that the volume for “Ringer and Alerts” is not set to the minimum.
Solution #3
- Press the “Home” button
- Open the general “Settings” app
- On the left column, click on “General”
- On the right column, scroll down and go to “Use Side switch to”
- Select the “Lock Rotation” option
