iTooch 3rd Grade Language Arts author, Jennifer Preston, has a BA from Texas A&M University majoring in English with a minor in Speech Communication. She has public school teaching experience in both Texas and Wisconsin. Her experience as a Program Support Teacher for the Bilingual/ESL program with Madison Metropolitan Schools in Madison, Wisconsin allowed for writing and implementing curriculum.
As of 2011, she is certified in English as a Second Language, Elementary Education, Early Childhood Education, English and Special Education. She continues to stay active in the public school system through volunteering both in classrooms and on committees, tutoring and substitute teaching. She enjoys spending time with her family on their Texas farm, raising horses and gardening.
iTooch 3rd Grade Language Arts editor, Debra Boyette has a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She has spent most of her career in leadership roles on news and features copy desks at The Kansas City (Mo.) Star and The News & Observer in Raleigh, N.C. She has also worked as Weekend News Editor, Home & Garden editor and Features Editor at The News & Observer. Since leaving the newspaper business, she has used her perfectionist tendencies by editing the website of a county agency in her town and by editing two applications for eduPad. Her interests include reading, knitting and especially photography. She is married and has two daughters, ages 17 and 25.
