40% of children have a social network account at the age of 11. Are you sure your kids are safe?

May 20, 2016 Announcements

Influence Central, a family marketing agency, just released a report called Kids & Tech: The Evolution of Today’s Digital Natives. The report details findings on the way that kids are using technology and reveals several interesting insights.

We recommend the full report reading, and have selected for you the following highlights in the report:

  • The average age for a child getting their first smartphone is now 10.3 years

  • 64% of kids have access to the Internet via their own laptop or tablet, compared to just 42% in 2012

  • 39% of kids get a social media account at 11.4 years

Social networks are dangerous for children. Yet forbiding access is dellusive at best, counter productive at worst.

Monster Messenger is here to help parents get out of this dilemna. By providing children a safe access to social features under the control of their parents, Monster Messenger offers parents an elegant, pleasurable and effective solution.
