Through these workshops and parent-child classes, SI Services aims to introduce content in a creative and interactive way that can assist individuals of all ages acquire essential skills.
Karen Velocci , president of SI Services, tells us about her work and experience with iTooch apps :
” SI Services provides technology education to parents and professionals on the inclusion of technology to enhance learning and communication for individuals with special needs. I have a background in education and have run my technology company for 26 years. Most importantly, I am the parent of a child with autism so my passion in life and work has shifted to helping educate people how to integrate technology for ‘life long learning’ for special learners.
We just completed 2 weeks of ‘Technology Summer Camp Days’ at my Technology Learning Center located outside Philadelphia, PA. Parents and children worked together using the iPad and apps in a host of areas of development to help prepare for the new school year.
I chose to ‘FEATURE’ the iTooch line of apps for students functioning at various grade levels and the reception was terrific. Parents loved the detailed areas of concentration and the supports provided to assist their child with the problem at hand. The material is presented very clearly, understandably and in a fun manner. We had children attending at all levels of development so everyone found something educational and fun.
I appreciate EduPad working with me and I will continue to recommend these apps for learning and practice of specific grade level learning.
Thanks so much for all your fine work! “
